Bio

I am a PhD student at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in the Neurosciences program, under the supervision of Antônio Jaeger. I am also a visiting PhD student at the Center for Philosophy of Memory, supervised by Kourken Michaelian from September 2024 to November 2025. So far, my studies have primarily focused on memory from the perspectives of experimental psychology and neuroscience. Currently, my PhD project aims to empirically explore the continuism/discontinuism debate. More specifically, I am using the event-related potential technique to understand the neural and cognitive mechanisms underpinning episodic imagination and remembering. I believe the conceptual framework developed by the simulationist hypothesis can drive interesting research in the cognitive sciences. In turn, that evidence raised by this kind of philosophically-informed research could be helpful in advancing the philosophical debate. I received my bachelor’s degree from Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná in Psychology and my M.A. from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Neurosciences.
